Can we ask all new year 7 pupilsonly, to bring in a cheque or coins to top up their lunch cards for the first few days of term please? Year 7 will be shown how to top up their cards for the time being and we will keep you informed. Sorry for any inconvenience.
G.C.S.E Results 2010
Our results this year are once again very pleasing. Congratulations to all our pupils who worked hard to achieve at such high personal levels, and thanks to staff and parents for their support, as always.
Former St Benedict’s technology teacher, Ian Hall, has had the honour of designing and making the papal chair for the Mass in Birmingham. Ian called the work ‘a labour of love’.
Congratulations go to him for a remarkable achievement. (Click the image to view a BBC Interview)
Sports Day
Sports Day was a superb climax to the term.
Congratulations to all involved and well done to Fisher House for winning.
End of Term
The last few weeks have been very enjoyable at school with many activities and events, including the Sponsored Walk, P.T.A. barbecue, St Benedict's Feast Day Mass, visits from Schools in Birmingham, Singapore and France, Work-related Learning days for Years 9 and 10, the House Music Competition, Fairtrade events, Duke of Edinburgh and much more!

International Visitors
We recently welcomed 25 visitors from Nan Hua High School in Singapore and 25 from our partner school Collège Albert Camus in France. The guests were very well looked after by our Year 10, Year 9 and Year 8 pupils, who were equally impressed with the forward thinking and mature attitude of the young people.

Gurdwara Visit
Mrs Taylor-Jones's RE group in Year 10 recently took a trip to a Sikh Gurdwara in Smethwick, which is one of the biggest temples outside India. We would like to thank Mr.Sukvinder Singh for welcoming us, showing us round the Gurdwara and sharing his faith with us and Mr Ted Hooper, from the multi-faith, chaplaincy team at Blackenhust Prison, for organising the trip.
The building of the 6th Form has begun. Car-parking at school will be extremely difficult for the next year. We ask all visitors to bear this in mind please. Thank you.
Once again St. Benedict's is in the top 5% nationally of schools for Contextual Value Added (CVA) and top in Warwickshire for KS3, in addition to our overall KS2-4 result - also the highest in Warwickshire. (BBC/DCFS tables) (October 2008)
Congratulations to all members of our community for this.
