News Uganda 2009

Our visit over half-term to St. Kizito School in Uganda was extremely worthwhile. Our pupils were immersed in African culture and were a credit to their families and superb ambassadors of St. Benedict’s.

News Year 11 Work Experience

Well done to all our Year 11 for completing their week's work experience recently.  As ever, the students went to a diverse range of placements from veterinary practices to Touch FM and even to our local brewery! They came back into school reporting on their experiences and, in many cases, having received glowing references.  We congratulate them all - they are a credit to our school.

We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to all the employers who accommodated our students for the week.  Work experience enables pupils to gain a valuable insight into life beyond the classroom, where they get experience both within a learning situation and socially.  As a school we are very appreciative of the commitment and willingness of employers to help in the education of our young people

News Parent Pay - November 2009

We are gradually introducing trips onto the Parentpay website so please check if the trip is on there when your child comes home with a trip letter.  You will then have the opportunity of paying for this with you credit or debit card.

We are going to do this with music lessons and Swift payments when they are due in the course of the next few weeks.

Please note that when you make payments on Parentpay, you are automatically issued with a confirmation, and so a receipt will not be issued in school.  If the trip is oversubscribed then you will be given a full refund.

Don't forget to drink throughout the day

Drinking water regularly during the day can boost your learning capacity.

Water is the heathy option because it contains no sugar, caffeine, additives or acid.
